I studied film in college first, only deciding that I probably couldn't use my degree - since I didn't want to move to LA or New York - after I got it.I considered going back to study animation, but decided perhaps I could do better in science than my Parents thought I could. Since then, most of my time has been spent wrapped up in work.
My main hobby right now is avoiding updating my blog - Genesis of the Daleks is scaring the heck out of me - trying to make fan vids, and reading - mostly Science Fiction peppered with the occasional Non-Fiction. I used to be a huge splatter-punk fan, though, and Horror is still a favorite from time to time.
Mostly though, I am reading Doctor Who. Somewhere during series 1, I was inspired to catch up on everything I missed and maybe get a better hold of the Doctor's motivations as a character and well... for some reason I feel the desire to share my journey.
I hope some of it will be informative, and maybe as fun as I find the Doctor Who Universe.
Currently, I am trying to work on my writing and am hoping this Blog will help get some creative skills flowing again.
I am also in the process of making some Doctor Who Fan Videos. Hopefully they will be finished some time in the next year and I'll include a link to my You Tube page in my Journal Sidebar.
I'm doing all of this, of course, in the midst of RL - which has been particularly uncooperative of late - but I keep plugging away.
I was introduced to Science Fiction at the age of five via Doctor Who, played at the time by the amazing Tom Baker. My Dad was also a fan, and a big fan of Science Fiction in general, so I never really stood a chance. My level of geekitude is hard to come by in those who were not born to it. ^_^
I fell out of the fandom somewhere after Colin Baker took over the roll, but never left completely. The New Series in 2005 drew me firmly back into the fold, and here I am.
This Blog is dedicated to Russel T Davies, Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper, who renewed my love of the show, and to all the great writers, production crew and actors in the series from it's beginning in 1963 until now.
I do not own anything Doctor Who except more books, cds, and dvds than I have space for - and a Cyberman Head. Doctor Who is Copyrighted by BBC Enterprises and all cover art posted on this Blog belongs to the artists who made them (credited in the notes of the image).
